First time buying equipment

This was my first time buying an actual piece of equipment from them, specifically a milk frothing jug. I usually just get their beans. The ordering process online was straightforward, and it shipped within a day, which was nice. It took 6 days to reach me in Texas, which is decent for an international shipment. The jug itself feels sturdy and well-made, just as described on the product page. I had a question about cleaning it, and their customer service got back to me the next morning with helpful tips. Everything arrived well-packaged too. Good experience.

Good coffee, easy ordering

I ordered some of their Eco-Roast ground coffee, and it was pretty good. The website was simple to use, which is always a plus. It arrived in about 4 days, which felt reasonable enough for coming from the UK. Overall, a solid experience and I'd probably order again.

Always reliable for subscriptions

I've been getting my coffee from 918 Coffee Co for a while now, mostly their compostable capsules. My last order was for the Kenyan single origin, and it was consistent with what I've come to expect. They're always on time with the subscription deliveries, and the quality hasn't dipped at all over the months. I keep coming back because I know what I'm getting, and it's good value.

What's the deal with their 'Eco-Roast' thing? Is it just a gimmick or actually something different?

R Raj H. 1 month ago
It's legit! They use old coffee grounds to power their roasters. Pretty cool, reduces waste and energy.

Definitely not a gimmick. They've won awards for it and it genuinely makes their process more sustainable. You can read about it on their site.

How long does it usually take to get coffee delivered to California? Is it like a week or more?

A Amber 1 month ago
If they ship to the US at all (which I'm not sure they do, check that first), it would likely take more than a week. It's coming from the UK.

You'd have to look at their shipping info. For international, it's usually at least 7-10 business days, sometimes longer with customs.

Anyone know how 918 Coffee compares to Pact Coffee? Been using Pact for a while but always looking for new beans.

T Todd 2 months ago
Pact is good, but 918's Eco-Roast gives it an edge for sustainability if you care about that. Flavor-wise, I find 918's roasts a bit more consistent.

They're both solid. 918 has some unique single origins sometimes that Pact doesn't, and their focus on waste is pretty neat. Give 'em a try, you might like them better.

Can I use multiple discount codes at checkout? Like, if I have a first-order code and another one from a sale?

C Colin 1 month ago
Nope, most places only let you use one code per order. I tried it once and it didn't work.

A Alex Brooks 1 month ago
Generally, it's one code at a time. Trade customers get their discounts automatically though, so they don't even need codes.

Thinking of getting a coffee machine from them, but what if something goes wrong? How's their return policy on equipment?

N Nick 2 months ago
I haven't returned a machine myself but I know they have a pretty standard policy for faulty stuff. You'd probably need to contact them directly for the specifics though.

They're usually pretty good about it, I've heard. If it's a defect, they'll sort you out. Just keep the original packaging.

I'm thinking of setting up a subscription, is it easy to change or cancel if I need to?

R Rosa 2 months ago
Yep, super easy to manage. I've paused mine a couple of times without any hassle.

Their subscriptions are pretty flexible. You can adjust your delivery frequency or cancel online whenever you want, no long-term commitment.

Do they offer barista training courses in the US? Or is that just a UK thing?

R Rosa 1 month ago
I'm almost positive their training courses are only in the UK, probably at their roastery or a partner location there.

S Steve Silva 1 month ago
Yeah, I highly doubt they'd run training in the US. That's usually an on-site, local thing for coffee companies.

Hey, I'm looking at getting some beans, do they do any kind of first-time buyer discount? Just wondering before I place an order.

K Kate 1 month ago
Yeah, I think I got 10% off my first subscription order. Check their newsletter sign-up, usually, it pops up there.

B Brett Brooks 1 month ago
They totally do! I got 15% off my first bag, it was applied automatically at checkout after I signed up for emails.
